London Marathon 2017 – The Best Way to Tour London

Some of the best athletes in the world will convene in London on 23 April. The Virgin Money London Marathon winds through Woolwich, Greenwich, and Blackheath, onto the London Tower, the Isle of Dogs and finally over the London Bridge to the finish. If you are coming to the city to run, expect to be pleasantly surprised with the thrill of the experience.

After all, what better way is there to tour London than to run through her iconic cityscape while pushing your body to its absolute limits? And afterwards, there is your radiantly beautiful WINKS London masseuse, ready to ease your sore muscles and melt your post-race fatigue away through tantric massage. She’ll make every mile feel so wonderfully rewarded.

The race will begin at 10:00 am for the mass start. Be sure to arrive early to make your way to your starting area. The start line by Blackheath and Greenwich is known for being quite crowded as it’s a good vantage point for spectators – not to mention the nearly 40,000 runners.

You don’t need to be a participant in order to take part in the excitement. Being a spectator can be just as invigorating as running the 26.2 miles yourself. From film stars and Olympic athletes to pop performers, British celebrities will be lacing up their trainers and running for their favourite charities.

There will also be bands and entertainment along the route and even a few noteworthy feats as runners drum up support for their charities, like 31-year-old Peter Thompson. He is attempting to run 44 marathons in 44 days in 44 different countries, starting in St. Petersburg, Russia. London will be his midway race.

If you are watching and not running, Canary Wharf and the Tower Bridge are both excellent places to view the middle of the race. Enjoy walking past Big Ben and Buckingham Palace as you watch the runners finish.

As a participant, when you see these famous London landmarks, know that your journey is almost over. Soon you’ll be able to rest, body, mind and spirit as you surrender to the mesmerising movements of your masseuse. Dine at one of London’s fantastic restaurants – Trafalgar Tavern, Pont de la Tour, The Gipsy Moth. There’s plenty to choose from to satiate your appetite. Then, retire to your private sanctuary and let your WINKS goddess do the rest.
